A customer in the industrial market approached Custom Thermal Applications to engineer a hot water supply for processes they were modernizing.
Energy efficiency was key, and since they were revamping and expanding their operations, a space-saving solution was also critical. Our mechanical and control system engineers quickly got to work to design them an optimal solution. Built from stainless steel for longevity on the factory floor and providing 99% efficiency at 180°F (82°C) a 98% efficiency at 200°F, QuikWater direct fired water heating systems were the ideal solution for their cut room, kill room, high-pressure washer, and expansion applications. Two systems were engineered to supply 195°F water at the rate of 44 m³ and 55 m³ per day, while the other two deliver 140°F water at the rate of 48 m³ and 65.5 m³ per day.
This high efficiency, space saving, and expense cutting solution helped this customer fulfill their goal to modernize and become more energy efficient.
